Business Appreciation Series (3 Programs)

The Business Appreciation Series is composed of three (3) programs that target the following participants: the newly-promoted or would-be managers, the first-time manager, or manager of a small enterprise, and for senior managers and high-level executives.

 

Program 1: Business Appreciation for New Managers

 

At the end of this program, the participants will be able to:

 

  • Adopt the mindset of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in terms of understanding the business as a whole instead of a department or unit only
  • Appreciate the different tools and techniques available to new managers amidst a changing business environment
  • Identify and create effective strategic initiatives that will follows this change of mindset

 

This program is recommended for newly promoted and would-be managers and key supervisors in any organization.

 

Program 2: Developing Your Organization’s Strategic Arsenal: Tools and Their Business Application

 

At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

 

  • Have an overview of the different strategies available to any business organization, from the Boston Consulting Group model, Porter, SWOT, PEST, etc.
  • Validate certain tools and techniques as it applies to the organization’s vision, mission, values, and current business direction
  • Create an initial set of strategic tools and techniques that will be useful for the organization in the future

 

This program is ideal for first time managers or a managers of small to medium enterprises.  The workshop provides a cache of strategic tools that will be useful for the organization in the future.

 

Program 3: Examining Strategy and Its Relevance

 

At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

 

  • Examine whether the current strategy is responsive and aligned to the vision, mission, values, and various trends and changes
  • Determine whether it is necessary to re-craft the organization’s vision, mission and values
  • Create action plans on either maintaining the current vision, mission, values or re-crafting a new one

Intended for senior and higher level management, this workshop looks at the alignment of the vision, mission, values, and current strategy. This program is also intended as a bridge activity prior to re-crafting the organization’s vision and mission.
